Turning Point offers an outpatient substance abuse treatment center that provides comprehensive services to support the recovery of individuals and families struggling with substance abuse and addiction

Outpatient/Intensive Outpatient Treatment
Turning Point provides: Comprehensive assessments; individual, group and family counseling; DUI assessments; interventions; relapse prevention; aftercare services; and drug court services for Oklahoma County.

Oklahoma County Drug Court Services
Drug Court is a District Court supervised Substance Abuse Treatment Program that offers nonviolent, felony drug offenders an opportunity to return to the community as productive members of society instead of being incarcerated in prison. Drug Court is made up of a team that includes a District Court Judge, District Attorney, Defense Counsel, Coordinator, Substance Abuse treatment Provider, and Law Enforcement. The team puts aside traditional adversarial roles to focus on the best interests of the participant.

Sober Living
Sober Living is a 48-unit apartment complex offering a drug-free environment for recovering individuals and their families. Case management and support services are provided to assist individuals in re-integrating into the community.

Job Readiness
Support services also include a job readiness program provides resume preparation, interview preparedness, and clothing and transportation allowance. One Drug Counselor that provide a means for individuals with significant disabilities for whom competitive employment has not traditionally occurred, and who, because of the nature and severity of their disabilities, need intensive supported employment services.

Turning Point partnered with Department of Rehabilitation Services to provide eligible individuals who are assessed to be in need of intensive consumer support services and unlikely to complete their Independent Living Plan or be able to develop a reasonable employment goal without assistance. The program will provide two key services:

  • Intensive Counseling - The counselor and the consumer will develop a plan of Wellness Recovery
  • Community Integration - The counselor will assist the consumer to implement strategies included in the Independent Living Plan or Wellness Recovery Plan.

Street Outreach
Turning Point staff work in the community to reach out-of-treatment substance abusers and injecting drug users and their sex partners. Staff encourages and arranges chemical dependency treatment; provides on-site HIV counseling and testing with referral for related illnesses to include STD’s and TB; passes out information/prevention packets. At this time, a special project to eliminate syphilis is being worked on by our staff.
